Cruel Innovation

☠️ Sometimes the innovation process is a sham, so many efforts and time gets wasted. Not in the greater scheme of things, but in the day to day battles.
That’s why choosing your battles is an important thing. The daily struggles might overwhelm you, I would go far and say they might even break you. It’s heartbreaking to witness dreams come to an end, and it’s devastating to see people doing harm without intending it. Be it a minor communication misunderstanding, or people just being people. Believe me when I tell you, your patience will be put to the test.
One thing most innovation professionals don’t highlight enough, is the critically of keeping the moral at a high and consistently inspired levels. Facilitators, participants, and spectators are all part of the giant wheel that needs to move forward. Innovation is hard and takes a long time, longer than some of us would like to admit. But what is courage if we don’t face our fears, what is ambition if we don’t see things to an end.
The real question I struggle with, is how do we keep going against the current and all odds without drowning in the stream? We’ve seen floods take out whole cities, storms cripple buildings to rubbles, and mountains become flat from earthquakes. And to try to stand still, hold your ground, sharpen your tongue, and have faith through uncertainty. Yeah you might just be the samurai legend we heard about in the stories, but remember this is reality. And it can be cruel, even bittersweet, but it’s all we have.
🕯️ So keep on riding warrior, and bring an end to this war. Peace has and will always be, a noble cause to die for.
