š¤·š»āāļøĀ The biggest challenge to collaboration is people, and the culture that prevails in an organization.
I feel a bit lost, most of the times I tried to display a true spirit of collaboration. People take advantage, not just that, they wonāt have a sincere courageous conversation to bring both parties to a middle ground; a win-win situation. Is honesty a weakness? Does opening up smell like blood to sharks? Can people truly work together for the greater good and help each other? I truly wonder.
šŖĀ The right way is always harder than the easy way, anyone can play games. But we are only courageous, when we donāt!
Collaboration is not a luxury in innovation, it is a necessity. But so is the spirit of working together for something greater than the individual. The collective thoughts, energy, and efforts can diminish the high risks associated when embarking on new ventures. Trust is fragile in a sense that once it is lost, it is hard to gain back. Or is it? What I noticed through most conversations is that it takes time to break silos, it takes long conversations to bring people together. And above all, persistence and consistency will prevail as the work speaks for itself.
šøĀ A constant reinforcement of repetitive behavior will demonstrate to everyone involved that itās not just ātalkā, rather an invitation to āwalkā together. Yeah a big word like ātogetherā feels like a Kumbaya moment.
What do we really have to lose, wouldnāt you want to die trying rather than following the norm. Doesnāt change start with oneās self, then those closest to you, then the masses. I feel sometimes people tend to forget that everything erodes away in life, and all thatās left is a heritage and the memories people will carry until it is written down in a storybook. And you can be sure that they will write it from their perspective, not yours. From the way you made them feel, and the memory that resonates the most. Yeah, the world is small. And you never know what the future holds.
āš¼ For that, I choose to keep trying and keep my intention truthful and works sincere. Pray I never walk alone in this spirit and reach an understanding that is bigger than myself.
